What is Cyber Essentials?

The Cyber Essentials scheme is a UK government-backed framework supported by the NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre). It sets out five basic security controls that can protect organisations against 80% of common cyber attacks.

The certification process is managed by the IASME Consortium (IASME), which licenses certification bodies to carry out Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certifications.

What does it mean to be Cyber Essentials Certified?

Certification gives both us and our customers peace of mind that we take cybersecurity seriously and that our defenses will protect our IT systems against the vast majority of common cyber attacks. This is simply because these attacks are looking for targets which do not have the Cyber Essentials technical controls in place.
